You do not have to be a veteran to become a member. The ANAVETS have opened their doors and in addition to those who have served our country in the Armed Forces, membership is now available to EVERYONE who has a sponsor.

Becoming a member is easier than you think!

 You do not have to be a veteran to become a member. The ANAVETS have opened their doors and in addition to those who have served our country is the Armed Forces, membership is now available to everyone who has a sponsor.

 Levels of Membership

ACTIVE: Someone who has served at least one year service in the Armed Forces, Firefighters, Police, Cadets (for 3 or more years), Peace Officer, Correctional Officer, or two years of service in Customs and Immigration, Canada Coast Guard, Department of Fisheries, Department of Lands and Forest Personnel, Canada Corps of Commissionaires, etc. Note: Proof of service is required along with the application for Active membership. This information is reviewed by Command and they issue the ultimate approval for this status.

ASSOCIATE: People who have a good reputation who are not likely to reflect poorly on the Club through their behaviour in the community.

AFFILIATE: This status may be granted only after two years plus one day of Associate Membership, and when determined by the Executive that the member warrants an upgrade in status. These applications are sent to Command for review and they issue approval for this level of membership.

Social Activities – Check out our Calendar of Events page to see what's going on at the club... we hold a wide variety of social events such as dances, barbeques, entertainment, weekly meat draws and a numerous other special events.

Member Participation Sports – Members enjoy playing pool, darts, cribbage, euchre... as well we take part in Pool and Darts Leagues, with competitions at the local & provincial levels.

Community Service – The ANAVETS pride ourselves in giving back to the community. And, you can help by volunteering to support our causes. Check out our In the Community page to learn about who we sponsor.

Notice of next General Meeting on September 16, 2023.

Our General Meeting will be held at 1 pm at our new location at 150 GRAY RD in Rutland.

 

Remembrance Day November 11, 2022:

A Remembrance Day Memorial was conducted by the ANAF Branch #376 at the Rutland Cenotaph located in Lions Park in Rutland. A well-attended reception was held after the ceremony at the Rutland Community Hall. The public was welcome to attend both the memorial ceremony and the reception.

 

Since Sept 12, 2020 the ANAF Clubhouse has been Closed. Our new clubhouse at 150 GRAY RD in Rutland will be available to members as soon as our liquor licence is secured. Stayed tuned for an announcement

The search for a new Clubhouse has ended in success. Opening soon.

The last Club Meat Draw put on by the Ladies Auxillary was a big success. Thank you to all those who contributed.

Thank you also to all those who contributed to the success of the Farewell Social held on Sept 12, 2020.

The Ceremony to Retire/Lower the ANAF Flag was held at 1 PM, Sept 12.

Thank you to the Kelowna Pipe Band for their performances before, during, and after the Ceremony.
